JBU (Just Between Us Magazine) was created by Jill Briscoe 25 years ago because she saw the need for a magazine of encouragement for ministry wives. Even before Broom Tree Ministries was born, Rita Hanon was volunteering for the JBU pastor’s wives conferences Jill spearheaded. Those conferences brought women in ministry from all over the Mid-West and Canada together in Milwaukee for a splendid weekend. Early on Rita learned that a pastor’s wife would know that her husband needed a retreat way before the pastor did. So Broom Tree placed their ad in JBU from the beginning and it worked!
